Industrylinks’ 2017 intake of students for our Certificate III in Guiding will experience a comprehensive blended-learning qualification that is the most exciting delivery of experiential learning in Australia today!
Our online learning platform will enable students to work through the theoretical elements of the qualification at a pace that suits their particular life circumstances, while the face-to-face components are delivered by respected industry leaders, in the most desirable locations in Tasmania.
Participants will acquire the knowledge, and hone the skills needed for this qualification, in exactly the environment that draws individuals into our industry in the first place! As part of the program, students will complete the Cradle Mountain Huts Walk. This is six days on the fabled Overland Track, trekking through the heart of the Tasmanian Wilderness. This will be a small group of students, led by their Trainers, who will alternate as leaders of the group as part of the course.
Participants will also complete the renowned Bay of Fires Lodge Walk. This is a four day odyssey that combines the famous east coastline of Tasmania, and the pristine forests of the North-east.
Prior to the experiential components of the course, students will also complete their First Aid requirements, as well as a Remote First Aid qualification.
Participants will also be educated in the principles of food hygiene, transport and storage, as well as be trained over five intensive days to cook fantastic and nutritious meals by Tasmania’s most respected teaching chefs!
Combined with the knowledge on the fauna, flora, landscapes and indigenous culture that participants will acquire from the rich resources we provide, their educational journey will be the experience of their lifetime!
